Corporate Consulting

Supporting employers and employees in change management and professional development

Efficacy is an innovative organisation that supports both employers and employees in change management and professional development. We are facilitators and problem solvers, seeking practical solutions from the proven and pragmatic discipline of cognitive behavioural therapy.

As cognitive behavioural consultants we recognise unhelpful thinking styles and patterns of behaviour, before offering more productive, realistic ones. At Efficacy we are passionate about improving our clients work performance and are experts in change management for individuals and organisations.

We are here to turn anxiety and stress into positive feelings about:

We provide high calibre support for a number of professional situations for individuals, teams and at the corporate level, including:

  • Optimising staff potential in line with appraisal systems
  • People skills training for HR staff
  • Health safety and well-being
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Work life balance

Efficacy’s philosophy is that if people have the belief they can do something and can restructure any negative thoughts around the activity, then they are much more likely to achieve the desired results.

Our methods are informed and pioneering.

Here are some examples of clients and situations we have successfully worked with:

  • A management consultant had difficulties in presenting to clients. He experienced stress and a reduction in performance. He met his targets and functioned sufficiently, but experienced high levels of stress which affected his general well-being.
  • An Account Director felt uncomfortable in round table discussions and began to question his own skills and capabilities to the extent that he began to avoid meetings. There was no indication of this until one day he missed a meeting and handed in his notice to his manager.
  • A successful lawyer - an Oxford graduate and high achiever - experienced nervousness and reluctance in returning to work from maternity leave, initially stating that she was happy in her main role as a mother. Her company had made a significant investment in her professional development.
  • A new manager was brought into a team where the position was expected to be given to an established team member. This resulted in an atmosphere of resentment and a culture of mistrust. Targets and deadlines were missed, with increased absence and sickness.
  • One day workshop for 12 General Practitioners on helping themselves and their patients to deal with stress more effectively at home and in the work place. This was particularly important for GPs who function in an ever changing environment.
